The Förderverein Forschungs- & Anwendungszentrum für digitale Zukunftstechnologien Lichtenfels e.V. [Society for Lichtenfels Center of Next Generation Digital Technologies] was established on 18 November 2019 with the aim of promoting education, science and research.

Our projects

FADZ Lab - open creative workshop for the general public

STEM education plays a key role in shaping digital transformation and the associated technological change, because digital applications, IT and technology pervade our work and everyday life. Our FADZ Lab is intended to offer the general public, in particular young people and schools, a teaching and meeting place for experimenting and dabbling. It will provide opportunities to explore and learn together about technical relationships, small creative projects and new technologies.

In the future, we hope our FADZ Lab will be able to offer young people, technical experts and anyone else who is interested a meeting place and interactive learning space. FADZ Lab could hold various events for schools, young people and the general public. 

Repair Café - DIY & inventor workshop

Have an idea for a useful everyday gadget and aren’t sure how to go about it? Is your fishing rod broken and you’d like to repair it instead of throwing it away but don’t have the right tools? Are you a techie who would like to help others with their projects? We have just the place for you - the Repair Café! Through our Repair Café we would like to offer all techies the opportunity to come together and share ideas. You can work together with others on your DIY project, get help or overcome the last hurdle for your idea.
